HP Pavilion 15-CD005AX touch screen

A replacement touch screen compatible with the HP PAVILION 15-CD005AX, built with the touch sensor embedded in the LCD cell itself. There is no separate glass digitizer: this panel is the complete touch surface for laptops built with an embedded (in-cell) touch design.

Before you order

Touch laptops are built two ways, and the parts are not interchangeable, so please check the following against your machine:

• Touch construction — if your original is a bare panel with no glass bonded over the front, an embedded-touch screen like this one is the compatible type. If your machine has edge-to-edge glass glued over the LCD, you need a touch screen assembly instead.
• Specifications — compare the resolution, refresh rate and connector. The touch signal travels through the main screen cable, so the pin count and socket position must line up with your original.
• Variations and images — if the listing offers more than one option, pick the variation whose specifications suit your machine, and use the photos to check connector position and mounting points before you commit.
• Unsure which panel you have? — the code printed on the rear of your original panel settles it. Send it to us with your HP 15-CD005AX and we will check compatibility for you.

Panels are sourced from established LCD manufacturers, inspected before dispatch and shipped in rigid, foam-lined packaging designed for glass. Where a compatible-grade panel is supplied, it meets or exceeds the specification of the part it replaces; the panel maker can vary with stock.

Fitting

Fitting follows the same steps as a standard screen swap — unclip the bezel, unscrew the old panel, transfer the cable — with one extra caution: the connector also carries the touch signal, so seat it fully and squarely before first power-on. If touch does not respond after the swap, reseat the cable before assuming a fault.
