HP sold the 14-dq as a budget 14-inch laptop from about 2019 through 2022, largely through big-box retailers, with configurations running from Celerons up to Core i5s. One thing worth checking before ordering a panel: the same chassis shipped with both 1366x768 and 1920x1080 screens, so the resolution of the original matters. For these machines we carry a wide range of parts, including replacement screens, batteries, keyboards, palmrests and top covers, hinges, display cables, DC jacks and cooling fans. The model list on this page shows what suits each exact variant. Parts can be collected from the workshop in Maidstone, Melbourne, or the laptop can be left there for fitting and repair.

1. Pick your exact model to narrow the parts below to it.
Your model: SEREIS

A replacement keyboard compatible with the HP 14S-DQ SEREIS. Depending on how the manufacturer builds this machine, it is supplied either as the bare keyboard or as the complete top case (palmrest) with the keyboard pre-fitted — the listing title states which. Before you order Specifications — compare the layout (the shape of the Enter key and the bottom row are the quickest tell), backlighting and colour with your existing keyboard. Backlit and non-backlit keyboards are different parts with different cables. Variations — where the listing offers options such as backlit or non-backlit, or different colours, choose the variation that suits your machine rather than assuming they interchange. Images — check the photos against your keyboard's key shapes, the cable position underneath and, for a full top case, the port cut-outs along the sides. Not sure which one you have? — send us a photo of your keyboard and the model label from the underside of your HP SEREIS, and we will confirm compatibility. Fitting A complete top-case keyboard is the easier repair: your machine's internals move across into the new palmrest, and every keycap and the flex cable are already in place. A bare keyboard swap varies by model — on some machines it releases with a few clips and screws, on others it sits beneath the motherboard. Check a teardown for your series before choosing the bare-keyboard route, or have a repairer fit it. Once the mechanism under a key is broken, the keyboard cannot be repaired one keycap at a time; replacing it is the lasting fix. Quality and packaging Keyboards are supplied new, inspected before dispatch and shipped in rigid protective packaging. Warranty, returns and delivery Warranty: 3 Months Delivery: shipped Australia-wide with tracking. Returns: if a part arrives faulty or turns out not to be compatible with your machine, contact us first and we will make it right under our returns policy.
